July 2, 2012, at 6:00 AM Brian Evans unlocked the doors of his new company, L&L Freight Services. For12 years, Brian had served in uppermanagement of a freight brokeragecompany. Now he was taking a leap offaith with his own company. Clearly the risk paid off.

L&L (which stands for the names of he and his wife Melissa’s children, daughter Laina and son Landon) serves clients nationwide with traditional dry van, refrigerated, and flatbed truckload brokerage. The company also provides excellent LTL, intermodal, and Canadian cross-border service. L&L has a veteran staff, some of whom have worked with Brian for more than a decade. “We provide a professional environment, state of the art technology, an over the top compensation program, and excellent benefits,” Brian said. “But it’s more than that. We treat each and every employee like family. We make decisions based on what is best for the company as a whole, but always look at how a decision will affect employees and their families at home.”

Poised for Growth

Tom and his incredible team make those things happen,” Brian explained.

Recently, L&L added a Director of National Sales and a Carrier Relations department. Both had unique needs. Sales people want to sell, not be smothered by cumbersome technology. Technology has to be user friendly, easy to learn, quick in application, and dependable. “You get all of that with Aljex,” Brian said.
