Coming Soon – Aljex plans to rename SmartSearch to “CarrierMatch,” as it more appropriately describes the function of this feature. We originally named it “SmartSearch” in 2001, because at first, that’s what it was, a smarter way to search for carriers. But then it evolved into something much more than that. Now it has the same search capabilities, but it has evolved into a communications program, so you can also do things like send email blasts to carriers marketing your shipments. You can also have carriers bid on loads that you blast out and accept shipments. Carrier Match will also help you keep track of your bids and offers and help you find the carrier that can move the shipment at the lowest cost.
CarrierMatch sorts through all of your historical data and reaches out to external load boards to make the best recommendations, based on your criteria. It pulls lane information, carrier profiles, and if you have an integration with DAT or truckstop.com, it will sort through those resources to provide the best options. Aljex matches your history with 13 different geographic match criteria, and sorts them with the best matches on top.
Aljex also provides carrier call-in matches which are those carriers who have told you about available equipment after going to your website, by calling you, or by another method. Any equipment marked as available in the system will remain there for the period you specify. Aljex also matches carrier profiles to show you who has the right equipment for the job.
CarrierMatch can be used to send out load offers and requests for bids. You can allow certain carriers to click on an email that you send them, to accept a load offer or bid on the load. If you send out a load offer to a carrier on the other hand, that carrier will need to call in if they want to accept it.
