The purpose of this post is to notify users of the change in the behavior of blank data within the Common & Contract Authority fields when covering a shipment in Aljex. Contact [email protected] with any questions regarding this change.
Background
In the carrier file, a user can identify that a carrier has common and contract authority by placing a Y in these fields.
Previously, “[blank]” data in this field functioned the same way as a Y in the field.
Permission Settings

Previously, setting the permissions highlighted above to Yes will prevent a carrier from covering a load if the carrier file contains an “N” in the Contract Authority field, the Common Authority field, or either field.
Moving forward, these settings will prevent a carrier from covering a load if the carrier file contains an “N” OR contains “[blank]”.
