This is a document I am writing with Ted 2.8
This copy of Ted is compiled statically for SCO Open Server 5.0.5
Absolutely no attempt was made _yet_ to assure that all the available graphics libraries were found and used at compile-time. I will test out Ted's various features in this document and from the results I will attempt to improve the compile settings and build a more fully functional Ted executable afterwards.

It seems to be running pretty fine.
this is a different font...

this is an inserted jpeg image of me.

above is an inserted gif image.

this is an inserted xpm image.

above is an inserted tif image (direct from a Windows fax software via VisionFS® 3.0.925 smb server & client)

above is an inserted bmp image. note: not all bmp images I tried worked.
this is an inserted pcx image.

this is an inserted xbm image.

¨ this is a symbol from the symbol font

hmmm... for some reason I can't get the cursor to go beyond the table below. I can add rows to the table and add text to any row as much as I like, but I cannot leave the table and write more text *after* the table, though I can use the mouse or arrow-keys to get outside the table and write more text up here...

I actually do have good compiles of all the graphics libraries necessary for all the image formats shown to be not-working below. Watch http://www.squonk.net/users/linut/sco/ for future developments. oooh I just tried "insert hyperlink" :)
when I tried "follow hyperlink" from the insert dialog, netscape popped up (yes unix netscape!) with the indicated page loaded into the browser window.

Testing results so far... (ooh, I'll try out a table...)
