The efficiency and low overhead of the software allows rural offices with dial up connections to work on the software at excellent speeds. You or your agents can have remote access to your system from virtually any computer, with minimal setup. You don’t need citrix servers, just a thin client application that can be downloaded to any PC.

Accounts Receivable is an extremely automated process. Customer credit is controlled in the order entry system with a credit check as the first step to enter a new shipment. System generated e-mails are sent to your accounting department as a customer nears their credit limit. Viewing over 15 different indicators on a single screen centralizes credit management.
You can fax or email past due invoices, balance due statements, AR aging, or past due letters.
Generate reports to help manage the collection process. Our extensive note system is great for collections. Our standard reports take you above and beyond the standard AR Aging, Monthly Statements and Collection Letters by providing insightful reports and graphs to more accurately manage AR and your customer’s credit limits.

Aljex calculates mileages with PC*Miler®. Within our software, the Customer File allows you to specify if a customer uses short, practical, or national network mileage. PC*Miler® requires a minimal yearly licensing fee for the use of its software.

Our software can incorporate your freight advances through a service such as Comdata. It ties into our Accounts Payable system.
You can assign your comcheck’s to your dispatchers. After they issue the advance to your carrier, it is automatically deducted from the carrier’s final payment. You can easily track which dispatcher has which unused comcheck’s.
When you receive an invoice from Comdata, selecting the advance(s) to pay is quick, and the system will automatically generate a check or wire transfer.

Dispatch is a very simple concept. Find a carrier to move your shipment. Then, track the shipment until it’s delivered. The problem is finding the“right” carrier. Our software provides a logical matching system that identifies the best carriers to use based on Customer history, lane history & carrier profiles. This tool is designed to quickly present the best carriers for a shipment and the user can generate a burst load offering via email or fax to a selected group or all the carriers selected.
Carrier Rate Confirmations, Customer Rate Confirmations & Delivery Confirmations can be faxed or emailed directly from the software.
Our software makes it much easier to manage, monitor, and track productivity on each and every dispatch step. It allows your company to provide superior service with less labor.
The check call system monitors the progress of each shipment as the load is moved from the point of origin to the consignee.
Shipments can be found with a variety of indexes including: Pro #, Carrier, Customer, Ship Date, Pickup Company Name, Pickup City, Consignee Name, Consignee City, Trailer #, Carrier Reference, Driver Name or a variety of reference #’s.
You can view shipments by equipment type, dispatch group or all shipments based on the next dispatch action or function required.

EDI or Electronic Data Interface
EDI is a standardized electronic format for data placement that will be exchanged between software applications. Aljex supports the standard EDI transaction sets you need to send and receive shipping and billing information.
Companies utilizing EDI can realize a cost savings in many areas of their company. It is less expensive and more accurate to have your customers enter your data for you. It also secures the relationship with your customer, making it harder for another broker to take your business.
In addition to interfacing with your customers, we can set up 214’s with the larger carriers to automatically trace the shipments you tender to them. Your system is continually updated with your shipment location and status. This increases profits because tracing shipments manually is much more expensive.
EDI documents provided by the transportation carrier can be integrated into many aspects of your businesses, including supply chain management, strategic planning, performance improvement and enterprise resource planning.
EDI can be transmitted through a VAN (Value Added Network) or FTP (File Transfer Protocol).
Aljex provides EDI support for all standard formats. The most common formats are Shipment Tracing (214), Invoices (210), Remittance Advices (820), Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), Bill of Lading (211) and Delivery Trailer Manifest (212).
